Tamulpur accident

Three persons were injured in a road accident at Barkhata along Rangia-Bhutan Road under Tamulpur police station in the district of Baksa of Assam on Monday.

The injured persons have been identified as Meghali Deuri, aged around 40 years and wife of one Dwip Deuri; Murchana Deuri, aged around 17 years and daughter of Dwip Deuri; and Himan Deuri.

They are all residents of Kumarikata under Tamulpur police station.

They all were going towards Pathsala from Kumarikata in a car bearing registration number AS-01 AQ-0908.

The car had lost control while reached Barkhata and hit an electric post and overturned on the roadside.

Local people had rushed to the spot immediately and managed to pull out all the three occupants from inside the car.

The injured were later4 shifted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for further treatment after administering preliminary first aid.

Later, Tamulpur police arrived at the spot and recovered the car.

Meanwhile, investigation is on to ascertain the cause of the accident.
