The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee has written an open letter to State Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday raising 19-point charter of demands.

The charter of demands came after a month of Deb assuming office as the Chief Minister of the State.

The letter has been signed by Tripura Pradesh Congress chief Birajit Sinha.

The demands include upgradation of the status and modification of the Kailashahar airport, to construct a double lane road between Kailashahar and Kumarghat, among others.

Addressing a meeting on Monday, the state Congress chief stated that during the UPA government, the facelift of the Kailashahar airport was sanctioned and now the Congress urges the new government to look into the development of the Unakoti district.
