Manipur University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Associate in the project entitled “Geological mapping and identification of oil and gas seepages in the Inner Fold Belt of Manipur.” Manipur University came into being on 5th June 1980 under the Manipur University Act, 1980 (Manipur Act 8 of 1980). It came up as a teaching-cum-affiliating University at Imphal with territorial jurisdiction over the whole of the state of Manipur. Manipur University became a central university w.e.f. 13/10/2005. The Manipur University Act No 54 of 2005 received the assent of the President on 28/12/2005. It is present at Canchipur, Imphal, the capital city of Manipur. The university campus is spread over an area of 287.53 acres in the historic Canchipur which is the site of the old palace of Manipur. Its vision is to become a world-class university and educate the youth of the region altogether.

Pay : Rs. 15,500/-p.m. for 1st Year. Pay will be reviewed over an extended period altogether.
Eligibility Criteria :
Master’s degree in Earth Sciences/Geology is equivalent or in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks altogether in the qualifying degree level.
Desirable Qualification :
Candidates with prior experience working in field of organic matter and also organic geochemistry is desirable
