Donald Trump has become the first President in the history of United States to have faced impeachment twice.
Donald Trump was impeached by the US House of Representatives for a historic second time on Wednesday.
Donald Trump was charged with “incitement of insurrection” in regards to the unprecedented siege of the Capitol building.
The House voted 232-197 to impeach Trump.
Notably, 10 Republican lawmakers too voted for Trump’s impeachment.
“He needs to be held accountable,” said the 10 Republican who voted for Donald Trump’s impeachment.
“There have been just four impeachments in the history of this nation. Donald John Trump owns half of them and [they] will follow him to his grave,” says @andersoncooper.

“Today the House demonstrated that no one is above the law, not even the president of the United States,” Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi said after the voting.

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley said, “History will forever remember Donald Trump as the twice-impeached President who led one of the cruellest and corrupt administrations in American history.”

Trump’s impeachment comes a day after Vice President Mike Pence declined to support efforts to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove the outgoing President.

The 25th Amendment allows the vice president and the majority of the Cabinet to remove a sitting president if they deem him unfit for office.
