The COVID-19 pandemic has gripped the entire world, infecting over millions of people globally.

In India, 1,040,746 have tested positive and this includes people from various background.

According to a news report, the total number of frontline workers and health care staff infected by coronavirus stands at 15,200 in India.

Among them, over 5000 healthcare workers tested positive while on duty.

A total of 5,170 healthcare workers including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff have tested positive for coronavirus until Friday.

As per data available, frontline workers have been affected by the lack of PPEs, insufficient protective gear while fighting the global pandemic.

“Data from National COVID Registry shows that 1,302 doctors had contracted coronavirus and 93 doctors had died due to the virus. IMA had also sounded a red alert to HCWs to raise their guard,” reported India Today.
