The battle for Panjshir Valley, the last stronghold of resistance forces in Afghanistan, continues to rage on.
Fighters of the Taliban and resistance forces engaged in intense fighting on Saturday for control of the Panjshir Valley, located 193 kilometres north of Kabul.
This is the last and only province in Afghanistan that has been holding out against the Taliban.
Both sides have been claiming to have the upper hand in the ongoing battle for Panjshir Valley.

Taliban has claimed that it has control over four of the seven districts of the province and are advancing towards the capital Bazarak.
On the other hand, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has claimed that it has surrounded thousands of Taliban fighters near the Khawak pass.
It said that the Taliban had abandoned vehicles and equipment in the Dashte Rewak area.
Head of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan – Ahmad Massoud said that Panjshir “continues to stand strongly”.
