Agartala: Tripura Police and the Government Railway Police apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals and two Rohingyas from separate locations on Saturday.

Officer-in-Charge of West Agartala Police Station, Paritosh Das, stated that the arrest of the Bangladeshis followed an earlier apprehension of another Bangladeshi in the Lankamura area of the West District earlier this month.

“During his interrogation, the suspect provided information about Rafiq Sheikh and Ajim Uddin, who were later detained at City Centre. These individuals had illegally entered Tripura via the Sonamura area with the assistance of touts”, he said.
