The 9th biennial conference of the Dimasa apex literary body, Dimasa Sahitya Sabha (Dimasa Lairedim Mel) will be organized in the Cultural Institute Hall at Haflong in Dima Hasao on March 30 and 31, 2018.
The reception committee formed for the 9th biennial conference of the Dimasa Sahitya Sabha has completed all preparations for the conference of the literary body.
As per information provided by the chairman of the reception committee of the conference, Sukhen Phonglo, on the first day of the two-day biennial conference of the Dimasa apex literary body, the names of all members of the Dimasa Sahitya Sabha and literary enthusiasts coming from different parts of the district will be registered.
On the first day, a meeting will also be held among the members of the Sabha.
On the other hand, on the second day of the conference, the open session will be attended as the Chief Guest by Haflong MLA Bir Bhadra Hagjer.
The open session of the biennial conference of the Dimasa Sahitya Sabha will be attended as Guests of Honour by the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC), Debolal Gorlosa and the Executive Member of the NCHAC, in charge of the Education department, Kulendra Daolagupu.
Besides, a multi-lingual souvenir of the Dimasa Sahitya Sabha and a Dimasa magazine titled ‘Khurang’ and a number of books will also be released during the conference, informed the chairman of the reception committee of the conference.
