GANGTOK: The Citizen Action Party (CAP) has released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Sikkim assembly elections.

In its first list, the CAP announced 14 candidates for the upcoming Sikkim assembly elections.

Sikkim comprises 32 assembly seats and one Lok Sabha constituency.

CAP has decided to contest the Sikkim assembly elections independently, without forming any alliances.

The candidates announced by CAP in Sikkim are:

  1. Hari Chandra Chettri for Namthang Rateypani
  2. Jigme Bhutia for Yuksom Tashiding
  3. Yangthang Phip for Dhoj Limboo
  4. Darmadin Pem for Dorjee Sherpa
  5. Zoom Salghari for Kaushal Lohagun
  6. Mahesh Rai for Namchi
  7. Severen Rai for Namcheybong
  8. Sumati Chettri for Khamdong
  9. Rabi Gurung for Upper Tadong
  10. Risckis Pradhan for Arithan
  11. Dawcho Lepcha for Gangtok
  12. Bhim Kumar Tamang for Upper Burtuk
  13. Jorbu Lepcha for Dzongu
  14. Tsampo Narchu Lepcha for Sangha

Additionally, the CAP party stated that candidates for the remaining 18 assembly seats in Sikkim and the lone Lok Sabha constituency from the state will be announced by March 24.
