Nagaland reported four new Covid cases and two recoveries on Tuesday. All four new cases were detected in Dimapur.

According to the state health and family welfare department, one person each recovered in Dimapur and Mokokchung.

Meanwhile, 225 teenagers aged between 15 to 18 years received the first dose of Covaxin on the first day of the vaccination drive for children in the state on Monday.

The vaccination drive was carried out only in Dimapur and Kohima at 9 session sites.  Altogether 193 beneficiaries were inoculated in Dimapur while 32 were from Kohima.

State immunization officer Dr. Ritu Thurr said in the next few days the number of beneficiaries will be added once the remaining districts initiate the vaccination drive.

He urged all the eligible teenagers to come forward and avail the Covid-19 vaccination.
