Nagaland has registered 28 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 3,714.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status said the new cases have been detected out of 587 samples tested.
“Update! 28 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of 587 samples tested,” health minister Phom tweeted.
The health minister informed that out of the new cases, 24 cases have been detected in Kohima, 2 have been detected in Dimapur, and 1 each case has been detected in Longleng and Zunheboto districts.
Meanwhile, 102 more patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have recovered from the disease, Phom informed.
The health minister informed that out of the recovered patients, 85 are from Dimapur and 17 are from Kohima.

According to the latest COVID19 update shared by the state health department on its Twitter handle, out of the total positive cases registered in Nagaland, 1,609 are armed forces personnel (43%), 1,213 are returnees/travellers (33%), 646 are traced contacts (17%) and 246 are frontline workers (7%).
A total of 2,396 patients have recovered from the disease and Nagaland currently has 1,301 COVID19 active cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 8 persons while 8 other positive cases have migrated from the state.
