Mizoram reported 2 more deaths due to Covid19 infection and 72 new positive cases on Monday morning.
According to the Covid19 update on Monday morning, released by the directorate of information and public relations, Mizoram, of the new cases, 64 were detected during the Rapid Antigen Test (RAgT) and 8 other cases were found positive during the FIA test.
The new positive cases include 37 males and 35 females.
With the new cases, Mizoram’s total Covid19 tally increased to 1,40,564.
The state’s positivity rate stands at 10.45%.
According to the Covid19 bulletin released by the DIPR, Mizoram at 5 pm on Sunday, a total of 179 people were discharged after their recovery.
So far, a total of 1,38,626 people have recovered from the disease in Mizoram.

Of the recovered cases, Aizawl district recorded 67, Khawzawl-36, Serchhip-35, Kolasib-15, Saitual-11, Lawngtlai-6, Lunglei-4, Mamit-3 and Hnahthial district recorded 2 recoveries.
Mizoram’s recovery rate stands at 98.67%.

The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 539 people in Mizoram.
Mizoram currently has a total of 1399 active cases.
On Sunday, 65 new cases were detected and the positivity rate stood at 13.63% while one person died of infection.
