SHILLONG: The Conrad Sangma-led National People’s Party (NPP) is all set to lead the new government in Meghalaya, which will be a coalition government.
The NPP has bettered its 2018 figures in the 2023 Meghalaya assembly elections, becoming the single largest party in the state.
It is, however, not yet clear about, whom the NPP will approach for coalition.
it is widely being speculated that the NPP may enter into post-poll alliance with other regional parties in Meghalaya, instead of the BJP, to form a new state government.
The Conrad Sangma-led National People’s Party (NPP) has emerged as the single largest party in Meghalaya.
Voting for the Meghalaya assembly elections were held on February 27.
