The Asom Gana Parishad has appointed Zed Nunisa as the general secretary of its tribal wing Asom Tribal Parishad. This is for the first time in the history of AGP that a Dimasa youth has been appointed to this post. President of Asom Tribal Parishad Munindra Bangthai has issued his appointment letter on April 11.
Nunisa sought cooperation and support from the people for making Assam and Dima Hasao the best place in the world. He was felicitated by AGP president and minister Atul Bora and working president and minister Keshab Mahanta. AGP is giving importance to youth leaderships and representation of more tribal leaders in the party.
Talking to Northeast Now Nunisa said he will work for the betterment of AGP as well as Asom Tribal Parishad in the entire Assam.
