NPP chief Conrad K Sangma addressed a poll rally at 22 Wangoi assembly constituency in Imphal West district for party candidate Khuiraijam Loken Singh.

Meghalaya chief minister and National People’s Party (NPP) chief Conrad K Sangma on Thursday kicked-off the campaign for the upcoming by-election in Manipur.

The NPP chief addressed a poll rally at 22 Wangoi assembly constituency in Imphal West district for party candidate Khuiraijam Loken Singh.

The NPP has fielded Loken against the BJP’s Oinam Lukhoi Singh, the agriculture minister of the state, and Salam Joy of Congress in the Wangoi Assembly constituency.

Speaking to reporters at Imphal, NPP chief Conrad exuded confidence that party candidate Loken will win the by-poll with a very good margin.

He further said that the NPP will work together to ensure that the issues and concerns of Manipur are always given a loud voice.

“We will work together to ensure that the issues and concerns of #Manipur is always given the loud voice. NPP is for #Northeast and we are in our fight together to better the lives of our people,” Conrad said in a tweet.
