An Army recruitment rally will be conducted at Assam Regimental Centre in Shillong’s Happy Valley for recruiting eligible male candidates from May 4-6, 2020.
The Army recruitment rally is meant for candidates from all 11 districts of Meghalaya.
The recruitment will be for soldier tradesmen, soldier clerks, storekeeper, technicians and nursing assistance, for which online registration has commenced from March 5, 2020 at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
The online registration will continue till April 18, 2020.
Deputy director general (NE States) Brigadier VM Sharma said this is a great opportunity for the youth of Meghalaya to join the Army and be part this great institution.
According to the website of the Army www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, admit cards for the rally will be sent through registered e-mail ids from April 19, 2020 to May 3, 2020.
The candidates will be screened for the following categories and as per qualitative requirements mentioned below.
For the Soldier General Duty, the candidates will have to be born between October 1, 1999 to April 1, 2003.
The candidates must have passed Class 10/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% marks in each subject.
For Boards following grading system the candidates should have secured minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
For Soldier Technical (Nursing Assistant), Soldier Technical, Soldier Clk/SKT, Soldier Tradesman (10th pass) and Soldier Tradesman (8th Pass), the candidates must be born between October 1, 1997 to April 1, 2003.
Educational qualification:
Soldier General Duty – 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 40% marks in each subject or 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Soldier Technical (Nursing Assistant) – 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 40% marks in each subject or 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Soldier Technical – 10+2/Intermediate Examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Math and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Soldier Clk/SKT – 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, and Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Math/Account/Book Keeping in class 12th is mandatory.
Soldier Tradesman 10th Pass – Class 10th Simple Pass. No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Soldier Tradesman 8th Pass – Class 8th Simple Pass (for Syce, House Keeper and Mess Keeper). No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
