Star weightlifter from Manipur, Meerabai Chanu, who brought laurels to India and Northeast by winning a silver medal at Tokyo Olympics, will appear in the reality show Dance Deewane 3 to celebrate the 75th Independence Day.

She won the medal in women’s weightlifting in the 49 kg category.

As India gears up to celebrate its 75th Independence Day, Dance Deewane 3 is all set to showcase a series of mind-blowing performances in the presence of some of the nation’s biggest heroes.

Weightlifter Meerabai Chanu will be one of those great achievers, who will appear in a special programme to be organized by the reality show as part of the 75th Independence Day celebrations.

According to a media report, weightlifting champion Meerabai Chanu will make an appearance on Dance Deewane 3 in the presence of judges Madhuri Dixit, Tushar Kalia and Dharmesh Yelande.

The hosts of the reality show, Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, will be a part of the Independence Day celebrations.

Besides Meerabai Chanu, eminent sports personalities Kapil Dev, former all-rounder cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, former first-class cricketer Bhavani Devi will also be a part of the episode.

Apart from them, the first Indian Sabre fencer to qualify for the Olympics and wrestler Priya Malik, who won a gold medal at the World Cadet Championships in Hungary recently will also be present in the event.
