Lajong FC will take on I-League topper Minerva Punjab FC on Sunday at Nehru stadium in Shillong. High on confidence following their victory against Indian Arrows FC, Lajong coach Bobby Nongbet said their only aim is to win the match and collect three points.

Minerva Punjab has recently humbled the Green Maroon brigade of Mohun Bagan in Kolkata.

Lajong coach Nongbet has a ‘good game plan’ for tomorrow’s match. They have already chalked out a strategy to give the I-League topper a tough fight on their home turf and snatch three points tomorrow.

Obviously, Minerva Punjab players will have to adjust themselves with the cold weather condition also. That might be an added advantage for Lajong apart from playing on home turf.

However, one thing that Lajong needs to improve on is goal scoring.

Minerva Punjab FC coach Wangkhem Khogen Singh, however, is determined to win tomorrow’s match without being complacent as league table topper.

Though he admitted that the climate would be a factor but at the same time he pointed out that players should adjust to any condition.

Although it is always difficult to play against a home side the Minerva Punjab players are not taking the fourth-placed Lajong lightly as there is not much difference between the two teams.
