Assam and other north-eastern states experienced a mild tremor on Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, at around 4.32 pm, a mild tremor was felt in different places in northeast.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.1 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake was located in north-west Myanmar (26.146N 95.786E).
So far, there was no report of any damage from anywhere in the northeast.
