In a bid to boost the morale of the candidates from Dambuk Assembly constituency, who qualified for Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) mains, an interactive and motivational programme titled ‘Ro: Puune Mission APPSCCE’ was conducted by Dambuk at MLA Gum Tayeng here on Sunday.

Tayeng exhorted the APPSCCE aspirants to work hard and said that dreams would not come true without toiling.

Asserting that the interactive session was an effort to provide a platform to civil service aspirants from Dambuk constituency to interact with experienced and senior civil servants and to keep them motivated, Tayeng stressed that everyone should take benefit from such programme.

She said continuing this initiative for civil service aspirants of the constituency would be an honour to her departed husband Jomin Tayeng, first IAS from the State.

“Coming from a very poor background and after becoming an orphan at a very young age, education was what kept him going in life,” she said.

Commissioner PWD Bilatee Pertin also shared words of encouragement to the aspirants. He stressed on time management and early preparations for the civil services exam. He also emphasised on regular newspaper reading and told them to read as much as possible.

Secretary to Chief Minister Sonam Chombey also advised the aspirants to work with dedication and determination with a positive approach. Stating that clearing the prelims is just the beginning, he told them to prepare well considering the competition. He also said that the aspirants should not confine themselves to the State level civil services, but also eye UPSC and other such examinations.

Director Trade and Commerce Tokong Pertin also spoke on the occasion. He suggested the aspirants to work harder for mains as there is no short cut to success.

Earlier, Circle Officers Une Pertin, Kabang Apum, DSP Ringgu Ngupok and DIPRO Ajay Saring gave comprehensive information to the aspirants on how to prepare for the civil service examinations.

They encouraged the participants to come forward and ask questions to clear their doubts concerning issues relating to civil service examinations. The participants took full advantage of the opportunity to clarify their doubts from the experts during the day-long programme.

The Tayeng family also extended Rs 50,000 to each of the 52 APPSCCE 2018 prelims qualifiers of Dambuk constituency for preparing for the mains exam, coaching, etc.
