Massive preparations are on to conduct the seven-day long colourful progamme of International Friendship Painting Symposium cum Cultural Festival which is scheduled to be held in Kokrajhar Music & Fine Arts College from March 17 to 23, 2018.

Speaking to Northeast Now, Larlie Brahma, co-ordinator of International Friendship Painting Symposium cum Cultural Festival, said, “We are organizing the programme for the third time here at Kokrajhar Music & Fine Arts College. It will be a seven-day long colourful progamme from March 17 to 23, 2018”.

She also said that the main objective of the progamme is to revitalize and inspire the creative potentialities of the arts students/teachers and to bring public awareness on aesthetic beauty.

Brahma said that renowned artists from Russia, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Romania, Thailand, Vietnam, and Bangladesh including several parts of the country will participate in the symposium cum cultural festival.

She further informed that BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary, Assam Forest Minister Pramila Rani Brahma, writer Bidang Mushahary and others dignitaries will be present in the progamme.

“The students as well as parents and guardians will have a unique opportunity to meet and interact with the famous international as well as national level artists.

Commemorating with the symposium cum cultural festival, a state level painting completion has been organized in three groups (group A – class 1 to IV, group B – class V to VIII and group C – class IX to XII) on March 18 (Sunday) at 10 am onwards in the premises of Kokrajhar Music & Fine Arts College.

The winners will be awarded prizes on March 23, 2018 during the closing ceremony in presence of the imminent invitees, the coordinator of the organizing committee further added.

She said that there will be ‘Jatra Gan’ programme from Ramfalbil on March 19 among the participants and also there will be a one-day conducted tour of Manas National Park for the delegates.

Brahma also appealed to all sections of the community, organizations, students, guardians and teachers to extend their supports to make the progamme a grand success.
