Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal greeted the people of Assam on February 28 on the eve of Holi.

In a message, Chief Minister Sonowal said, “Hope celebrations of the festival of colours strengthen our age old bonhomie, universal brotherhood and camaraderie among all sections of the people of Assam. On this occasion let us all forget our differences, embrace and spread the message of unity to make our state even stronger”.

Celebrations of Holi will further strengthen the socio-cultural edifice of the state, Sonowal added.

The Governor of Assam Jagdish Mukhi has also declared public holiday on March 2, on the occasion of Holi in Kamrup (metro). All the educational institutions, financial institutions and government offices will remain closed on that day.
