A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has sentenced 4 terrorists belonging to Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen of Bangladesh (JMB) to 7 years of imprisonment for their involvement in the 2014 Burdwan blast case.
The NIA court also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each.
The four JMB terrorists have been sentenced by the court on Tuesday, an NIA official said.
Two terrorists were killed while fabricating IEDs in October 2014 in the busy Khagragarh locality of West Bengal’s Burdwan district.

The rented house was occupied by JMB members for the nefarious activity of bombmaking, NIA said.
The case was initially registered by the West Bengal police which was later taken over by the NIA.
As per reports, the JMB conspired to radicalise, recruit and provide training in arms and explosives to its members in India as well as to commit terrorist acts and wage a war against the democratically-established governments of India and Bangladesh.
A large number of IEDs, explosives, hand grenades, training videos were recovered during the investigation of the case.
A total of 33 accused were chargesheeted for various offences in this case, out of which 31 were arrested.
A number of JMB members from Assam were also arrested by the NIA for their involvement in the Burdwan blast case.
NIA revealed that Burdwan blast accused Sahanur Alom was behind the Barpeta JMB module.
