Nalbari and Hojai police successfully apprehended three COVID-19 patients who had escaped from the Sarusajai quarantine centre in Guwahati.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the police for acting fast and apprehending the three inmates.

Reportedly, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam rose to 157 with 42 new cases being reported on Tuesday- the highest in a single day.
