With a positivity rate of 4.26 per cent on Monday, Assam’s overall COVID-19 tally rose to 187718 as 1518 fresh cases were detected on the day out of 35670 tests.
Of the new cases, 355 were reported from Kamrup (Metro), 136 from Golaghat, and 108 from Dibrugarh.
This was informed in a tweet by Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Till the filing of this report, a total of 152124 patients have recovered of COVID-19 in the state and the state now has a total of 34831 active cases.

Earlier on the day death of 11 more COVID-19 patients were reported in the state, taking the overall tally to 760.
