The Assam Police’s Communication & Technical Wing, Assam Police Radio Organization(APRO) bagged two prestigious awards in New Delhi.
The technical wing is led by Additional Director General of Police(ADGP) SN Singh.
The awards were presented to APRO at the National Conference of Heads of Police Communications, on November 19 and 20.
The awards were given to APRO for providing excellent training to police personnel and also for excelling in cryptography.
The primary role of APRO is to support the law and order enforcing agencies by providing reliable, secure and high speed communication towards effective maintenance of law and order, prevention and detection of crimes and criminals
It also provides communication anywhere in the state in matters of public importance and during natural calamities like earthquake, flood, cyclone, etc.
