COVID-19 Assam update: 56 more test positive, cases rise to 1272

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam rose to 1272 after 56 new cases were reported from across Assam on Sunday afternoon.

With this, the total number of active cases in Assam rose to 1102.

A total of 163 patients have been released in Assam so far and four persons have died of COVID-19 of the infection.

Of the 56 new cases reported, 18 are from Lakhimpur, 12 from Barpeta, 7 from Udalguri, 3 from Kamrup, 2 from Airport, 1 from Nalbari and the district of one person is yet to be ascertained.
