CIT hostel declared containment zone

The Kokrajhar district administration has sealed two post graduate boys hostels of the Central Institute of Technology (CIT)after three persons tested positive for Covid-19 positive

The hostel premises have been declared as containment zone by the district administration.

All the diploma and degree students were asked to vacate the campus earlier, but the masters and PhD scholars were present.

They left after the positive cases were detected in the campus.

The three students who have tested positive recently returned from West Bengal.

Source said that as a precaution , the CIT authority has formed CIT Covid Respond Team headed by Dean Student Affairs and NSS Programme Coordinator.

Strict vigilance is being maintained to monitor the movement in and out in the campus.

Regular sanitation of the campus has been ordered and hand sanitizers have been installed in every entry point of the administrative building.

While all classes will be conducted in the online mode, non-teaching staffs has divided into two groups who will attend office on alternate days
