Guwahati: An unidentified body of a woman was found in Morigaon, Assam on Monday.
According to local reports, the body was found in a pond near Borbori and Kalikajori village of Morigaon.
Some locals found the body early in the morning of Monday floating in the pond.

While the cause of death was not immediately known, the locals suspected the incident to be murder and intimated the police.
The police later arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

An investigation has been initiated and the body has been sent for postmortem to identify the cause of death.
The police said that they were trying to identify the woman.
