Orang National Park

The Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam’s Darrang district is all set for the new tourism season.

The park which is also called as the mini Kaziranga will be reopened for tourists and visitors from November 1 next.

However there will be some restrictions in the vehicular of movement due to the ongoing repairing works of some of the routes in the Park which had been affected by the last waves of flood.

Accordingly till repair work is completed traffic movement will be opened only in the routes connecting the Shatshimalu forest inspection bunglow within the Park and the main office of the Range Officer via Singabheti forest camp area.

This has been stated in an official press release issued at Mangaldai on Wednesday quoting a notice from the Divisional Forest Officer, Mangaldai Wildlife Division.
