Guwahati: A man was critically injured after being shot at by his friend in Guwahati, Assam.
As per reports, the incident took place in the Borbari area of Guwahati, Assam on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Saddam Hussain who by profession is an electrician.
He was shot at by a “plumber” named Bapan Debnath over allegations that he (Hussain) had an affair with his wife.

They had a dispute related to an alleged affair between Saddam and Bapan’s wife.
According to reports, Saddam had reportedly fled with Bapan’s wife around ten days ago.

Upon learning about this, Bapan reportedly confronted Saddam and shot him, critically injuring him.
The victim was rushed to Pratiksha Hospital for treatment, while the accused, Bapan, was apprehended by the police.
The source of the firearm used in the crime is currently under investigation.
