Assam agriculture minister Atul Bora has tested positive for Covid-19.
As per reports, he was admitted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Sunday after testing positive for the deadly virus.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms. I request all those who have come in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest,” he tweeted.
The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president’s condition is stated to be stable, party sources said.
Earlier this week, Minister Bora along with minister Ashok Singhal visited Aizawl and held a meeting with representatives of the Mizoram government on the Assam-Mizoram border dispute.
