An Afghan national has been arrested at Biswanath district in Assam. The Afghan national was arrested for allegedly traveling without valid documents.
Police in Assam’s Biswanath district arrested the Afghan national when he was about to board a Lakhimpur-bound bus.
Police informed that the passport and the visa that the Afghan national carried appeared to be fakes.
The arrested Afghan national had allegedly entered into India three years back.

The individual was engaged in garment business across the country including Assam.
Meanwhile, a local court in Assam’s Biswanath district has sent the arrested Afghan national to judicial custody.
