The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) honoured Assam Don Bosco University, with the organization’s All India University of The Year Award and University Social Commitment Award for the year 2018.
A prestigious university of the state Assam Don Bosco University is the first private university to be built in Assam and was founded on March 29, 2008 by the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) , a religious institute and executed by the Don Bosco Society, Azara.
The university which was set up to meet the educational needs of people of the Northeast is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
It offers graduate, postgraduate and research programmes in various disciplines.
The university has also established collaborative arrangements with universities and institutions in India and around the world through Memorandums of Understanding (MoU).
