The Adi Baane Kebang Women Wing (ABKWW) of East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh led by its president, Oti Sitang Eko and general secretary, Oming Jamoh Pertin conducted an anti-alcohol awareness campaign within the entire range of East Siang district to stop or to minimize consumption of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) during the ensuing Assembly and Parliamentary election.

The team of ABKWW covered several villages under Mebo-sub-division upto Gadum village bordering lower Dibang valley and Assam and few villages under Ruksin sub- division like Mirem, Bilat, Sika-Tode and nearby villages of district headquarter, Pasighat since last March 18 to till the date, informed Oming Jamoh Pertin.

The ABKWW team organized monitoring activities, visiting wine shops and all the youth camp of respective political parties prohibiting excessive use of alcohol and other drugs substances to maintain peace and tranquility during the whole process of electioneering conduct till its completion.
