West Siang deputy commissioner Swetika Sachan has designated 53 inspection officers to make a thorough inspection of several government schools in the district.

The designated officers have been asked to look into the teachers’ attendance, serving of mid-day meals to students of primary schools, adherence of school timing, and smart classrooms (wherever incorporated).

The officers were also asked to look after the knowledge on operation on KYAN by school teachers, course completion, quality of teaching and student’s level of understanding, toilet and water facilities etc.

Such action has been necessitated due to poor results leading to abrupt fall in the academic graph of the district despite all efforts being made and facilitates being extended to education sectors by the government.

DC Sachan, vide an official order, has prohibited individuals and NGOs from collecting donations from the employees/head of the offices and shopkeepers of the Aalo township without permission from the authorities concerned.

“Such a forceful collection of donation from any individual/officer/departments in the name of association and organization is illegal,” the DC said in the order.

“The funds placed by the government in any departments for undertaking welfare schemes for the general public can no way be diverted,” the order further added.

The order added that violation of the same would attract action under relevant sections of the law.
