159 new Covid-19 cases reported in Arunachal

The Covid-19 tally of Arunachal Pradesh rose to 6,466 as 159 more people tested positive for the infection on Thursday, health department officials said.

Of the 159 new cases reported from 17 districts, 88 were reported from capital complex region and 11 from West Kameng district.

While 142 patients are asymptomatic, 17 are symptomatic, said a health official.

A total of 180 patients were discharged from hospitals after they tested negative on Thursday.

Arunachal Pradesh, which reported its first Covid-19 case on April 2, has 1,871 active Covid-19 cases at present and 4967 patients have recovered.

A total of 13 people have died in the state due to Covid-19 so far. As many as 1,905 samples were tested for Covid-19 on Thursday.
