The two north-eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram celebrate Statehood Day on Wednesday.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, wished the people of the two north-eastern states on Statehood Day.

Prime Minister Modi on his official Twitter wishing people of Arunachal Pradesh wrote:

Greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh on their Statehood Day. The culture of Arunachal Pradesh is special and its people are known for their wonderful nature as well as patriotic zeal. May the state continue to prosper in the years to come.

Prime Minister Modi on his official Twitter wishing people of Mizoram wrote:

Best wishes on Mizoram Statehood Day. The people of Mizoram are known for their valour and rich value systems. The entire nation is proud of the Mizo culture and the contribution of the state towards India’s progress. Praying for Mizoram’s growth in the coming years.

President of India Ram Nath Kovind also wished the people of the two states on the occasion.

President Kovind tweeted on his official handle wrote:

Greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh on statehood day. Arunachal Pradesh is a jewel of the Northeast and is blessed with spectacular natural beauty and a rich culture that we are all proud of. My best wishes to this state for a bright future.

Greetings to the people of Mizoram on statehood day. Fondly remember the warmth of the people of the state and the loving reception that I received during my visit. My best wishes to this beautiful state in its development journey.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also wished the people of both the states on the occasion.

He took to Twitter to write:

Greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh on their Statehood Day. The state is blessed with natural beauty and amazing people. I am confident the state will continue scaling new heights in the coming years.

Statehood Day greetings to the people of Mizoram. I extend my warm wishes for the progress and prosperity of the state.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju was unable to join the Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day celebrations due to bad weather. He wished both the states on the Statehood Day.

He wrote on his official Twitter handle:

Warm greetings to my sisters & brothers of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of 32nd Statehood Day! My best wishes for the continued success, prosperity and unity for a prosperous future.

My warm greetings to the wonderful people of #Mizoram on their 33rd Statehood Day.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb also wished both the states on this occasion.

Manipur Chief Minster N Biren Singh also wished both the states on their statehood day.

He wrote on his twitter handle:

Heartiest greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on their Statehood Day. May the states prosper under the able leadership of their dynamic CMs.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also took to Twitter to offer his wishes to both the northeast states on this occasion.

He wrote on Twitter:

Greetings to the people of #Mizoram & #ArunachalPradesh on their #StatehoodDay. May the states reach new heights of success in the coming years. My best wishes for lasting peace & prosperity to the people of these two states.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has conveyed his greetings and best wishes on occasion 33rd Statehood Day to the state’s people and expressed optimism that with another milestone achieved the state would rise to fulfill the vision of a new Arunachal.

He also wished Mizoram on Twitter on this occasion:
