A total of 50 persons from the Lekang Constituency of Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the district and mandal executive meeting of the party which was held at the Poi Pee Mau Ground here.

Addressing the party workers on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein said that many people from Lekang constituency and the district are willing to join the ruling party.

“The joining of the new members shows the growing trust of the masses in the functioning of the BJP led state government both in the Centre and State. This has become possible because of the people friendly policies, transformational changes towards good governance, transparency and rapid development the BJP ruled governments have brought in the State and country,” Mein said.

He further expressed confidence in winning all the three seats of Namsai district with a huge margin in the coming Assembly Elections.

State BJP president Tapir Gao said that BJP will fight the coming assembly and Lok Sabha elections on its own under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

He said that there will be no change in the party legislature leaderships in the State. Gao also asserted that BJP will win the 2019 Assembly election with thumping majority in the 60 members State Legislative Assembly and will form government again in Arunachal.

Chongkham MLA, Chow Tewa Mein, Namsai MLA, Chau Zingnu Namchoom, BJP secretary and district in-charge, Junty Singpho, BJP Namsai President, Chow Sujana Namchoom and other office bearers of the district BJP unit also spoke also spoke.

Besides welcoming the newly joined members to the party, resolutions on political and agriculture fronts were adopted in executive meeting.
