An innovative craftsman and entrepreneur from Biswanath in Assam, Dhritiman Bora, has developed a water bottle completely made of bamboo.

This eco-friendly bottle comes in various sizes. It is like any other plastic water bottle with a cork so that water has no chance of leaking.

The bottle is tentatively priced between Rs 400-Rs 600. The best thing about the bottle is that water remains cool and hygienic in this sturdy bottle.

It can easily replace plastic bottles which are bad for health during the heat of summer.

Talking to Northeast Now on Sunday, Diganta Kalita, Sales Head, M/s DB Industries of Biswanath Chariali, said, “Dhritiman Bora, the owner of M/s DB Industries, is behind the creation of this innovative bottle. He has been helped by his younger brother Gaurav Bora in creating this bottle.”

Kalita also informed, “M/s DB Industries has been trying to create more innovative bamboo-made products to compete with bamboo-made products in China.”

He further stated that 36-year-old Dhritiman Bora, who has 18 years of experience in craftsmanship, started M/s DB Industries when he was 16 years old while his younger brother 26-year-old Gaurav Bora, joined him in the business when he was 14 years old.

Gaurav Bora helps his brother Dhritiman Bora with his machinery designed by himself, informed Kalita, adding, “Currently the products by M/s DB Industries are sold online at villacart.com.”
