Indian Idol season 3 runner-up Shillong lad Amit Paul reached at Pokhara in Nepal on Wednesday to participate in an event.

Amit arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday. On Wednesday he flew to the Lake City, Pokhara to attend the first anniversary event of Dunga Restro & Lounge Bar.

Amit Paul has performed worldwide in a number of concerts after becoming runner-up in Indian Idol. Since then he has performed in USA, UK, Hong Kong, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Bhutan, Singapore, Kuwait, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Following his success in Indian Idol Amit became a household name in India and reappeared on Indian television in the new game show Ek Se Badhkar Ek by Zee TV. He paired with Rajshree Thakur in this show but had to quit after nine weeks as Rajshree had to quit on doctors orders.

Amit also appeared on K for Kishore but exited from the show because of a minor illness during that time.

He made his playback debut in Hindi film Luck by Chance with a romantic number Pyar ki Daastan with Mahalaxmi Iyer as his co-singer.
