The Aadhar enrollment drive has been aimed at increasing the number of SBI and other banks’ customers to link Aadhaar with their accounts.

“There will be 10 Aadhaar enrollment booths at the FIOI event,” informed Chief General Manager of SBI, North Eastern Circle Sunil Kumar Tandon.

“The booths will conduct the enrollment drive from 11 am to 6 pm on all the three days,” he added.

Tandon urged the people to visit the FIOI event with necessary documents and enrol themselves in Aadhaar exercise.

“Those left out from enrollment during the event will get the opportunity at SBI branches later,” Tandon added.

“Customers already having Aadhaar numbers can it with their bank accounts in the event,” Tandon further said.

The CGM also urged the SBI customers to update their KYC (Know Your Customer) at the earliest and said customers without an updated KYC, may face partial freezing of their accounts.

During the partial freezing, customers cannot withdraw money from their accounts. Deposits in such accounts will continue.
