Army Chief General MM Naravane on Thursday reached Ladakh to take stock of operational preparedness amidst military tension between India and China on South Pangong.
Officials at the Army Headquarters in New Delhi said General MM Naravane is on a two-day visit to Ladakh, and will hold a series of strategic meeting with the senior commanders.
Gen Naravane will also meet Army jawans posted along the LAC in Eastern Ladakh, and play his role of motivating the formation on the ground.

Since June, Indian Army have been engaged in a major build up operations to prevent Chinese PLA in occupying heights and played a pro-active role thwarting Chinese attempts to transgress into Indian territories.
The south of Pangong Tso area, which has been witnessing military tensions, is currently dominated by the Indian Army.
The Chinese army, during the last few days made several attempts to change the status quo in the southern area of Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh.
