Bangladesh authorities on Tuesday pledged to continue cooperating with India against terror activities.
The neighbouring country also stated that all terrorists operating from its soil have been successfully rooted out.
“Bangladesh has successfully rooted out all terrorists operating from its soil,” team leader of the Bangladeshi delegation, Ahmad Kabir said on Tuesday.

He is leading the Bangladeshi delegation to the bilateral meeting for cluster-9 between the bordering district of Meghalaya and Bangladesh in Shillong on Tuesday.
Meghalaya additional chief secretary, R V Suchiang, deputy commissioners/district magistrates and superintendents of police from border districts of Meghalaya and Bangladesh attended the meeting, hosted by East Khasi Hills district deputy commissioner, Matsiewdor W. Nongbri.
Kabir who is the deputy commissioner of Bangladesh’s Jamalpur district was leading 52 officials from Bangladesh for the bilateral meeting with officials of border districts in Meghalaya.
Stating that Bangladesh has made significant progress in uplifting the socio-economic in different districts, Kabir said that Bangladesh manifested its strong position against all kinds of extremism and terrorism.
He also assured that Bangladesh would continue its cooperation in this regard with India.
Through this bilateral meeting, Kabir hoped that issues related to cross border infiltration, smuggling, repairing of damaged border pillars and facilitating coal export will be addressed by both the countries.
The first such bilateral meeting was held in Shillong on January 12 and 13, 2015.
The bilateral meeting of deputy commissioners/district magistrates of India (Meghalaya) and Bangladesh is aimed at enhancing bilateral relationships between districts across the international border and to resolve issues on infiltration and improve border management.
The districts of Bangladesh bordering Meghlaya include Jamalpur, Sherpur, Netrakona, Mymensingh, Syilhet, Sunamganj and Kurigram.
Meghalaya which shares a long border with Bangladesh, has seven districts bordering Bangladesh which include East Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Jaiñtia Hills, East Jaiñtia Hills, West Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills.
