Arunachal Education Minister Honchum Ngandam on Tuesday inaugurated a four-day long training on planning, management and administration for the head teachers of Government Upper Primary schools of the State at the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Hall here.

Speaking on the occasion, Ngandam emphasized that such training is a must and mandatory for all the organizations, departments, stake holders and even for political parties and leaders to improve their skills, knowledge and working capabilities.

Minister Ngandam said, “The head teachers and the teachers as a whole should have proper planning management and strong administration through which they can make a student disciplined.”

“Elementary school education is a foundation upon which all other levels of education are built as it forms the foundation for gaining basic knowledge, without which the dream of children will become impossible,” said Ngandam.

Further calling for better results in the next CBSE examinations and successful implementation of smart classes, the minister urged upon the teaching community to be sincere and dedicated and to inculcate quality education among the students of State.

Secretary Education, Dr Madhu Rani Theotia said the head teachers have the sole responsibility of running their schools properly and the training would help them in doing so.

“The teachers play an important role in imparting discipline and leadership quality among the students,” she said appealing the participants to take full advantage of the training.

Elementary Education director, Tapi Gao also spoke on the occasion.
