1. Visit Kaziranga National Park, Assam

Assam is one of the unique locations in the country and if you are in the North East then you should give a visit to the Kaziranga National Party which is the only natural home of the endangered One-horned Rhinos in the entire world. If you are someone who cares about nature then you would definitely love going there and spotting these rare and endangered species from a close perspective to make your trip to the North-East memorable. 

2. Visit the Floating Lake

The Loktak Lake or the Floating Lake of Manipur is one of the most beautiful wonders of nature. The lake is located in the city of Moirang and it is the only floating lake in the whole world. Plus, the lake also houses the only floating national park in the entire world, Keibul Lam Jao National Park, and the scenes and beauty of this place are just unmatched, you cannot find such scenes elsewhere in the world.

3. River Rafting

For rafters, North East India is a prime location as it has everything to offer for rafters. People who cannot get an adrenaline rush in lofty mountains or in the sky would definitely get it here. This region of the country has several rivers that provide the prime challengers to river rafters.

The most famous Brahmaputra river flowing through Arunachal Pradesh & Assam and the Teesta and Rangit rivers flowing in the state of Sikkim offers some of the furious river rapids and currents in the country and you can easily find rapids ranging from Grade-I to Grade-IV in the North East.

4. Biking

The region of North East India has just so much to offer for everyone, even for bikers. The narrow roads along the appealing terrains, the scintillating passes, the windy and lively roads make the North East a paradise for the bikers. The whole area and the narrow roads provide such a view that is just out of this world. The sky-high peaks and mountains in the North East lure hard-core bikers from all over the world and out of all the states in the region, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh are the famous destinations for bikers. 

5. Trekking

For people who are into trekking, North East India is home to the Himalayas and in the whole country, the most popular region for trekking is the North East. When you are Trekking in the North East then it isn’t like your regular adventure trek, it also tests your trekking skills, your trekking senses, and stamina.

The trekking tracks in the region aren’t like ordinary trekking tracks. You would need to be quite experienced to be able to do trekking there. The states of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Meghalaya are home to some of the most enthralling trekking tracks in the country.

7. Visit the Largest River Island in the World

The largest river island in the world is also located in North-East India. Majuli is the world’s largest river island that is surrounded by the Brahmaputra River and the Kherkutia Xuti in Assam.
