According to reports, former chief minister and Indian National Congress (INC) Lok Sabha candidate K L Chishi is the richest.
According to the affidavit made available from the office of the CEO Nagaland, Chishi has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 36,97,11,350.
The other ‘crorepati’ is sitting Lok Sabha MP of the NDPP, Tokheho Yepthomi (62), who has movable assets worth Rs 33,20,732 and immovable assets of Rs 5.66 crores.
First timer in electoral politics and PDA/NDPP candidate for the 26-Aongleden assembly constituency by-election, Sharingain Longkumer has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 43, 15,530 and immovable assets estimated at Rs 6,25,8,000.
NPP candidate for the Lok Sabha, 38-year old Hayithung Tungoe (Bill Lotha) of Lakhuti village under Wokha district has movable assets worth Rs 3,65,881 and no immovable assets as per the affidavit provided to chief electoral officer Nagaland. Independent for the Lok Sabha seat, Dr MM Thromwa Konyak and a resident of PWD colony Chen town under Mon district has movable assets worth Rs. 50,000 and immovable assets totalling Rs. 5,50,000.
Congress candidate for the by-election to the 26-Aongleden AC, Alem Jongshi, a resident of A khel Ungma village under Mokokchung district has movable assets of Rs 27,12,970.55 and immovable assets of Rs. 44,50,000 assets.
According to the affidavits filed by the candidates, out of the six candidates, only Sharingain Longkumer and Hayithung Bill Lotha have social media accounts on facebook.
