The Don Bosco Higher Secondary School at Kokrajhar celebrated its Silver Jubilee with a day-long progamme by observing the 25 years of its Foundation Day.

As part of the Silver Jubilee celebration, the students and staff members of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School took out a cultural rally.

The cultural rally was started from the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School campus and it proceeded through the JD Road and Old Flyover. The rally returned through Shanti Nagar Road and culminated at the starting point.

The rally was participated by the students and staff members of the school with banners and placards. During the rally, the participants shouted slogans like ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’, Save Nature’.

Talking to media persons, Daminen Basumatary, principal of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, said, “We are celebrating the Silver Jubilee on the 25th year of the Foundation Day of our school.”

He also said, “We along with students and staff members also organized a cultural rally progamme where in support of Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, clean environment, proper education and saving our environment.”

“We wanted to highlight value education in this competitive world, to learn how to live with nature by promoting peace, to make the students good leaders and good citizens through the rally,” he added.
