Lakhimpur Girls College in Assam’s North Lakhimpur town has geared up to celebrate the Gold Jubilee of the educational institute.

A public meeting was held on Saturday to discuss the celebration of the Golden Jubilee program of Lakhimpur Girls College.

The meeting was chaired by Jiten Sarma, president of the Governing Body of the college where the objective of the meeting was explained by Dr. Surajit Bhuyan, Principal of the college.

Former Principal of Lakhimpur Girls College, Dr. Mukunda Rajbangshi recalled the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of the college while advising how to celebrate the Golden Jubilee this time.

Retired Principal of Dhemaji College, Dr. Pushpa Bora, retired Vice-Principal of North Lakhimpur College, advocate Nikunja Phukan, retired professor of Lakhimpur Girls College, Kusumbar Bhuyan, retired DEO Jiban Dutta, professor Sazzad Hussain of Lakhimpur Commerce College were also present at the meeting.

Many other eminent persons of North Lakhimpur and alumni members of the college also attended the meeting.

They suggested various ways in celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the college in 2022 in a year-long programme in a befitting manner.
