Israel born ‘Wonder Woman’ star Gal Gadot has been shredded on social media for her statement on the escalating tensions and conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Gal Gadot took to Twitter and said: “My heart breaks. My country is at war. I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. This is a vicious cycle that has been going on for far too long. Israel deserves to live as a free and safe nation. Our neighbours deserve the same. I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. I pray for better days.”

Her statement where she mentioned “My Country is at war” and referred to Palestinians as “our neighbours” have been severely criticised.
Israeli airstrikes toppled most of a massive high-rise building in central Gaza City killing at least 48 Palestinians, including 14 children and three women.
More than 300 people have been wounded, including 86 children and 39 women.
In response to Israeli strikes, Hamas has said it has launched 130 rockets at Israel.
On Thursday morning, the Israeli Defence Force said about 1,500 rockets had been fired from Gaza into Israeli cities since hostilities escalated at the start of this week.
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot’s post on Twitter was flooded with replies that criticised her of being a “propaganda” tool for Israel, given her past military service record.
Some also called out her for using the word “neighbour” instead of referencing Palestine by name.
Musician James Kennedy tweeted: “Gal Gadot is wrong. Israel is not at ‘war’ with Palestine. Israel is butchering Palestine. Again.”

The escalation, which began on Monday, has triggered street violence in Israel between Jews and Israeli Arabs.
In two incidents, a Jewish man in Acre was attacked by Arab men, and a Jewish mob pulled a Palestinian out of his car and beat him up in Bat Yam.
More than 374 people were arrested and 36 officers were injured after clashes in Israeli cities, Israeli police said.
